“Train a Farmer, Feed a Nation” is the motto of our project in Ethiopia that was created by Dr. Ed Gregorich, a member of our board. Now this motto, and the story of BEAUTC, has been introduced to more than 9000 members of three professional societies (i.e. American Society of Agronomy, Crop Science Society of America and Soil Science Society of America). In this article Ethiopian Project Manager, Tewodros Amuma, reports that he sees BEAUTC as a way to bring new technology and techniques to farmers in Africa and to help farmers use the land in a responsible and sustainable way. There is currently a lack of modern agriculture in many parts of the country, and Amuma states, “In my humble opinion, I believe our project will help our community and the rest of Africa to bridge the gap.” Read the article by clicking on the link below.
