We have begun to work more closely with local farm families who become the first adopters of new technologies we introduce. These new adopters are great resource people that reach out and help others to adopt the new technologies. BAA was able to introduce high quality vegetable seeds that have been greatly prized for the quality and quantity of vegetables that the farm families were able to harvest. Vegetables are grown in the Woliso area during the rainy season. Carrot seed is especially prized and this woman below showed us the quality she has grown during our visit. Further training is needed to help farmers harvest and store seeds after harvest so that they retain their germination during the hot dry season.
