WOLISO, BEAUTC SITE

The site of Bethel Environmental and Agricultural University and Training Center (BEAUTC) project is in Woliso, Ethiopia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Waliso). Woliso is located about 70 miles southwest of Addis Ababa, the capital city of Ethiopia, in the Debub Mirab Shewa Zone of the Oromia Region. The most recent estimate is that Woliso has a population of approximately 100,000 people. Prime agricultural land is found in the vicinity of Woliso. There is a natural hot-spring in Woliso, which makes the town a tourism heritage in Ethiopia. In addition, Wonchi volcano, the highest volcano in Ethiopia, is 20 miles away and contains a crater lake which has also become a popular tourist destination. According to locals, it is the most beautiful lake in Africa.
